Artist's Comments

This is an (almost) full size panel from a recent Roza comic page. I draw the pages pretty high-res so that they look nice in print. You can see up close that my flats are a bit sloppy. Inks and flats are done in SAI and the rest is Photoshop CS2.

The full page with dialog and all that good stuff is here:

Beautiful! Is there any reason you ink/flat in Sai as opposed to Photoshop? (I haven't used Sai, so I was curious)

Gorgeous! Oh man, all your drawings are so animated, and the colouring is lovely :)

SAI has a smoothing function, sort of like Flash, that compensates for my crummy tablet and avoids the usual photoshop jitters. It feels like drawing on paper and I love it :D
If you have the newest Intuos though you might not need it, that one has much more surface friction and works great with photoshop.

Totally worth the purchase price for me. I use it for almost all my digital drawing/inking these days, but still need PS for text and fx.

wow really @_@ I didn't know it was so good~ what feature makes it good for inking?
